About Megan

Megan Howard Lcat, Atr-bc, MPS, EMDR Tr. Therapist

Site Content

Having experienced both Art Therapy and EMDR Therapy myself, I have benefitted from these therapies firsthand, and I am a deep believer in these processes of healing.  It is an honor to be able to provide these services to you, so I can support you on your journey of healing creatively.

My goal when working with a person is to reduce the suffering that they are experiencing and to help them facilitate personal growth.  I do this through creative and evidence-based practices, catering to each client's unique strengths and needs.  When a client is able to resolve unprocessed issues from the past, their transformation can cause their present and future to experience positive changes and growth.

Education & Training

Megan earned a B.S. in psychology from Queens University of Charlotte, graduating Cum Laude. She continued her education at Pratt University, receiving her M.P.S. in Art Therapy and Creativity Development, where she graduated with distinction.

Upon graduating, Megan became a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York (LCAT) and a Nationally Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC).

Through the Creative Institute for Mindfulness, Megan was trained and became an EMDR Therapist.  She has also been trained by the University of Cincinnati in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
